Repfabriken in Linköping, Sweden, takes its name from the city’s historic rope factory once located on the same site. The building, designed by Winell & Jern Arkitekter, is part of the new Ebbepark district, a development that transforms the city’s former industrial grounds into a forward-looking urban environment. The architecture pays tribute to its heritage through characteristic sawtooth roofs and honest material expression.
The public areas are furnished with Nola products, carefully selected to create a sense of space, variation and atmosphere. In the entrance hall, visitors are greeted by greenery in Cacti planters of varying shapes and sizes. Together they define the space, support orientation and add a natural presence to the interior. The planters are complemented by Rekta litter bins, offering clear and well-organised waste sorting.
A row of Cushy benches creates a welcoming zone for informal meetings, waiting time or a quiet break. On the rooftop terrace, the lightweight Wimbledon chairs in a soft sky-blue hue offer flexible seating options and can easily be moved to form groups or turned towards the sun for a brief moment of warmth. The Cacti planters reappear here as hanging installations beneath a pergola, continuing the theme of greenery throughout.
Covering 8,650 square metres, Repfabriken houses offices, a café, a gym and generous communal spaces.
