The pieces also have an extra high, but slightly transparent back rest, for a sense of privacy. Work Lounge is developed in collaboration with Superlab and Charlotte Petersson Troje.

Nola uses high-quality steel with good strength in our products. Steel rusts if left untreated and must therefore be surface treated.
Electrogalvanizing (also known as zinc plating) provides corrosion protection through the sacrifice of zinc ions. It is created via a zinc coating on the steel using an electric current.
Powder coating is a coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint, powder coating is usually applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light. The result is an even, hard-wearing coloured surface with the desired gloss level.
Compact laminate is a sheet material made of kraft paper and phenolic resins, pressed together under heat and extreme pressure. The material is completely water resistant.

The cushion can be cleaned with normal detergents.
Products that are electro-galvanized and powder-coated can be touch-up painted with alkyd paint.
Compact laminate is very a strong and heavy material. It does not normally require maintenance.

The cushion is stuffed with "Dry Foam" and upholstered in fabric made of dyed acrylic from Sunbrella. The cushion dries instantly and is suitable for outdoor use. The fabric is also UV-resistant and easy to keep clean.
The desktop is made of light grey high-pressure laminate with a black core.
Superlab the company was founded in 2014 as an experimental design laboratory with the main goal to study the future workplace and the furniture design of tomorrow.
Charlotte Petterson Troije is a research student in Urban studies from Malmö University. Petersson Troije has since 2010 focused her research on how to combine urban green areas with the daily life of workers. This resulted in the project “Stick ut Malmö” in 2017, where Petersson Troije presented research regarding the different requirements and needs that are necessary to work outdoors. Working outside can result in an increase in energy and inspiration, less stress and greater conversations.
