The Mobilia bike shed is made from sheets of UV-resistant polycarbonate and designed with the same considerations as a modern building. Several can be installed in a row to form a longer length, or placed back-to-back to create a double structure. The gradient encourages rain to run off and the design avoids deep gutters that trap leaves. The steel parts in the frame are C4 treated, zinc-electroplated and powdercoated. The frame and bicycle wheel holders can be bolted to a pre-cast concrete base for easy assembly.

RAL 7016

The frame is made in VKR hot-finished rectangular structural hollow steel. The roof sections support UV-resistant polycarbonate panels with a thickness of 6 mm. The steel parts in the frame are C4 treated, zinc-electroplated and powder-coated. All screws are in class A2 stainless steel.

Steel

Nola uses high-quality steel of good strength in our products. Steel rusts if left untreated and must therefore be surface treated. For this we use two main methods for surface treatment of steel parts; electrogalvanizing and powder coating as well as hot-dip galvanizing.

Electrogalvanized

Electrogalvanizing (also known as zinc plating) provides corrosion protection through the sacrifice of zinc ions. It is created via a zinc coating on the steel using an electric current.

Powder coating

Powder coating is a coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint, powder coating is usually applied electrostatically and then cured under heat or with ultraviolet light. The result is an even, hard-wearing coloured surface with the desired gloss level.

Installation in pre-cast foundations

The roof can be built as a basic module or as a double section. Can be installed in a row to form a longer length, or placed back-to-back to create a double structure. The frame and bicycle wheel holders can be bolted to a pre-cast concrete base. Detachment is mounted on 4 points per roof.

Powdercoated steel

Products that are electro-galvanized and powder-coated can be touch-up painted with alkyd paint.

The basic module includes one roof section, one right stand and one left stand. The double section includes one roof section and one middle section. The C-C distance between the support posts is 200 cm. It is compatible with our bicycle racks Örebro, Simpel and Street or any of our bicycle stands.
