Scratched steel can be treated with primer for galvanized metal. Although maintenance of the slats is not normally needed, cleaning with mild detergent is recommended.
Topcoat
Products treated with D-Dur Pigmented polyurethane two-component topcoat should be maintained regularly. Maintenance intervals approx. 1 time per year. Damage and cracks should be repaired immediately. Touch-up paint with, for example, Nordsjö One door and window water-based topcoat.
GRC
Can be cleaned with high-pressure flushing, low water pressure, large distance between nozzle and stone and small flushing angle selected (max. 30º). If the outermost layer of concrete is worn away, the coating will become even more susceptible to impurities in the future. Therefore, cleaning with a brush and water is preferable to the hard abrasion that repeated high-pressure washing entails.
There are also cleaning agents for concrete that has been attacked by dirt and algae and then the concrete can be impregnated, which can also be done when the product is new.
Both normal concrete and fiber concrete are sensitive to hard edge impacts. A concrete product that has been damaged can be repaired with polyester filler, for example the Plastic Padding brand.
Hor dip galvanized steel
Hot-dip galvanized can be touch-up painted with so-called "cold galvanizing".
