Swedish garden expert Ulf Nordfjell is known for his visionary style and the subtle harmonies he creates. Nordfjell rose to international fame in 2009 when his creation for The Daily Telegraph newspaper won the Best in Show award at The Chelsea Flower Show in London. Nordfjell favours muted colours, clean lines and bold contrasts, and the benches, pergola, planters and seating in the Nordfjell collection reflect his style.

Product description:
Bench: A rough-hewn length of timber stock has been attached to sleek steel runners to create a rustic contemporary design. The rough-and-ready bench that results combines simple materials with natural elegance to create a durable bench guaranteed to last.
Pergola Arch: The pergola is produced in single, freestanding components that combine with each other to create a pergola in a variety of shapes and sizes. The design enables the gardener to creates ‘rooms’ of varying sizes and configurations. As vines and plants grow and intertwine around the pergola’s components they create enclosed spaces in the garden.
Sitting elements: Nordfjell believes in balancing the elements in a garden. Soft earth and lush foliage is counteracted by dense stone, and inert gravel is contrasted with running water. This rounded shape of this simple granite seat balances the rectilinear form of the pergola and square planters, and when ordered with a borehole in the centre, it allows flowing water to ripple across its surface.
Planters: Steel planters are an attractive compliment to any garden, terrace or balcony. Nordfjell’s are cylinder-shaped or rectilinear, produced in a variety of heights and sizes. The planters sit 15 mm above the ground, are insulated against the cold, made with drainage and can be ordered with wheels that make them easier to move from shade to sun.
Material:
Bench: The seat is made in pine impregnated with iron oxide. The runners are made of galvanized steel, or alternatively, stainless steel.
Pergola Arch: Made of galvanized steel.
Sitting elements: Solid granite.
Planters: Made of galvanized steel and lined with insulating panels.
Installation:
Fully assembled.
The pergola is made with supports for mounting beneath the surface of the ground. The attachable version should be bolted to a precast concrete foundation with bolts M10. Bolts not included.
