Alnön

Design: Thomas Eriksson

Description

The trestle table and collapsible bench in the Alnön furniture suite are contemporary designs, but portable furniture has been in existence since Roman times. The Vikings had their own version, and Napoleon’s army took theirs with them to battle sites. The Alnön pieces were designed with military-like precision, combining functionality with efficiency and durability. Their collapsible legs fold easily underneath making them easy to store and quick to reassemble. The table and bench longer than most furniture of this type, and their oiled, solid wooden slats give them added durability.
