Although kvadrat means ‘square’ in Sweden, we think it is an excellent name for this cylindrical litterbins. The sides are perforated with a repeating pattern of square-shaped holes, making it as lightweight as it is attractive. Kvadrat is flexible, functional and discreet; it corresponds to other perforated designs such as ZigZag, another low-profile litterbin with a wide range of combination possibilities.

Variations
Fitted with an open ‘mouth’ or hinged lid, and can be combined with an ashtray. Kvadrat is available in a wall-mounted version or supplied with an attachable post that fits into a freestanding concrete base. The post can also be ground-mounted.

Material:
Container: perforated sheet steel with a depth of 2 mm, zinc-plated, chromed and polyester powdercoated in black RAL 9005
Lid:made of anodized aluminium with a depth of 3 mm
Post and wall-hanging device: made of steel with a depth of 3 mm
Freestanding base: made of cast concrete

Partly assembled.
Installation:
The attachable version bolts to the post and the post bolts to the floor. The boltholes have a diameter of 10 mm for 8 mm bolts. Bolts not included.
The post for the ground-mounted version should be cast 40 cm below ground level.
The wall-mounted version should be bolted to the wall. The boltholes have a diameter of 7 mm for 6 mm bolts. Bolts not included. Please refer to the assembly instruction for specific details.
Maintenance:
Polyester powder-coated steel can be treated with alkyd oil enamel as needed.
