The scattered shapes of autumn leaves were cast in lustrous steel as they cut across the surface of Louise Hederström’s striking new bench. The crisp outlines created by their transparent forms contrasts sharply with the robust profile of the dense metal. Although the leaves create a rich pattern, they penetrate the surface to form part of the structure itself. As light passes through their silhouettes, ghostly shadows form on the ground beneath. Like a camouflage print, the leaves form an abstraction of foliage, transforming familiar elements of the natural world into unforgettable symbols of contemporary furniture design.

Material:

2,5 mm sheet steel. Zinc-plated and polyester powdercoated in dark antracite Noir 200 Sablé or white Ivoire Blanche.
