The gardens designed by seventeenth-century Swedish architect Nicodemus Tessin number among his greatest achievements. His gardens were laid out symmetrically and flanked by broad avenues of trees. Classical statues were placed in particular sightlines to enhance the views, and areas for rest and contemplation were planned and laid out. Although none of the garden benches from Tessin’s era survive today, this elegant backed bench emulates the architect’s unmistakable style.

An elegant backed bench made in a historical style.
Material:
The cast-iron frame is painted in black RAL9005. The wooden pieces are made in alkyd oil enamel pine standard green NCS S 7020-G10Y or in oiled oak. Other types of wood are available upon request. The wooded slats for the seat measure 32 mm × 142 mm. The backrest measures 31 mm × 128 mm.

Maintenance:
Oiled wood should be maintained regularly, at least twice a year. Over time oak darkens. Painted pine should be treated with alkyd oil enamel as required.
