Combining a cone, a rectangle and a cylinder could create a range of unexpected shapes, but for Johannes Norlander they provided the ideal forms for a freestanding ashtray. Post is an efficient steel receptacle that quickly whisks cigarette stubs and ash out of view. The design draws them down into a container situated deep in the base, eliminating the lingering odour of cigarettes.

Johannes Norlander was awarded the Bruno Mathsson Prize in 2005 in recognition of his furniture design. Nola is proud to have manufactured many of Norlander’s designs.

Material:

Container and cylinder in zinc-plated and powder-coated steel. Structure powdercoated shine 5-9, white RAL 9003 or antracite grey RAL 7016. Inner container and funnel in stainless steel.
